Police have charged two people following a number of break and enters at Burdell and Alice River yesterday morning, 14 April.
It will be alleged about 3.30am unknown offenders have gained entry to a Therese Court, Alice River address and allegedly stolen the keys to a white Isuzu D-Max and a White Mercedes GLC300.
The offenders were disturbed by a resident while allegedly trying to enter both vehicles before they fled in the Isuzu, leaving the Mercedes behind.
It will be further alleged about 4.20am, three unknown offenders have forced entry to a property on Barramundi Circuit, Burdell and stolen keys and other personal items.
During the incident, a number of residents were awoken by lights turning on and discovered the offenders entering their white Toyota Hilux, that was parked in the driveway.
The residents attempted to stop the offenders before they abandoned the Hilux and fled in another utility waiting nearby.
About 7am, police attended an address near the corner of Denny Court and Ring Road, Alice River where two suspects had been detained by members of the public.
A 25-year-old Aitkenvale man and a 14-year-old Annandale boy were taken into police custody.
The 14-year-old Annandale boy has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is expected to appear in the Townsville Childrens Court today, 15 April.

He is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court today, 15 April.
Police are appealing to anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
