Officers from the Logan Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a fatal three-vehicle traffic crash at Tamborine Mountain yesterday, 12 April.

Initial investigations indicate around 10.35am, a white 2005 Subaru Liberty was travelling south on Tamborine Mountain Road when it has collided with a grey BMW motorcycle and a grey Nissan X-Trail travelling north.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 52-year-old man, sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he has since died.

Two male passengers from the Subaru, aged 22-years-old and 25-years-old, were also airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The 25-year-old male driver of the Subaru and two occupants of the Nissan X-Trail, a 72-year-old male driver and a 70-year-old female, were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.

Officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant vision to contact police.
