Two people have been charged following a burglary at Yeppoon on 1 April.

Police will allege that between 9.30pm on Wednesday, 1 April and 3.55am on Thursday, 2 April, the pair entered a Goldfinch Avenue address and stole car keys to a 2019 grey Toyota Fortuner and a yellow 2019 Kia Stinger belonging to the resident before leaving the area in both vehicles.

The Kia Stinger was located in Frenchville on 2 April, and the Toyota Fortuner was located in Gracemere on 3 April.

On 4 April, two teenagers were located and arrested at Fairy Bower.

An 18-year-old Rockhampton City man has been charged with 18 offences, including five counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, four counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of attempted enter premises with intent, and one count each of unlawful possession of suspected stolen property, enter premises with intent, enter dwelling and commit, stealing, evasion, and driving unsupervised.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 23 April.

A 16-year-old Koongal boy has been charged with two counts each of enter premises and commit indictable offence, and attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of suspected property, stealing, and enter dwelling and commit.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before the Rockhampton Children’s Court on 14 April.

Investigations are ongoing.
