A man has been charged following investigations into an alleged serious assault in Brisbane City on 4 April.
It will be alleged just before 10pm, a man approached and assaulted a 47-year-old Highfields man in an alley off Edward Street.
The Highfields man sustained significant injuries and was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Following extensive investigations, Detectives from the Brisbane City Child Protection Investigation Unit and Brisbane City Criminal Investigation Branch executed search warrants at addresses in Arana Hills and Sandgate today, 5 April.
As a result, a 25-year-old Arana Hills man was taken into custody,
He has since been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and is due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 7 April.
