Police have charged four teenagers in relation to a stolen car that was intercepted at Surfers Paradise last night, 1 April.

Sometime between 3am and 10am on 28 March, a white 2022 Mazda 3 hatchback was stolen from a unit complex’s carpark at Station Road, Woodridge.

Just before 8pm last night, police sighted the stolen vehicle travelling along Hamilton Avenue at Surfers Paradise.

Police aerially tracked the vehicle and a Tyre Deflation Device (TDD) was successfully deployed northbound on Ferny Avenue around 8.50pm.

The vehicle was abandoned and four occupants fled on foot.

Officers arrested four teenagers nearby shortly after.

A 17-year-old Marsden boy has been charged with three counts of fraud and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted enter dwelling and evasion.

He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Childrens Court today, 2 April.

A 15-year-old Marsden girl has been charged with three counts of fraud, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of attempted enter dwelling.

A 17-year-old Ripley girl was charged with two counts of unlicenced driving and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted enter dwelling, evasion and fraud.

A 16-year-old Nerang boy was charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

All three are scheduled to appear at the Southport Childrens Court on 8 April.
