Police have charged a 32-year-old man following a burglary with violence at Highgate Hill last night, 1 April.
Around 6.40pm, a 32-year-old West End man allegedly entered an address on Brighton Road and physically assaulted a 39-year-old Highgate Hill man.
The Highgate Hill man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
About 7pm the West End man was taken into custody nearby.
Investigations indicate the two men are not known to each other.
The West End man has since been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent, assaults occasioning bodily harm and unlawful possession of suspected stolen property.
He is expected to appear at Brisbane Magistrates on 2 April.
