Since early February, South Brisbane District police have conducted increased proactive patrols and regular Mobile Police Beat (MPB) deployments within Bulimba.
The increased high-visibility patrols are in a direct response to listening to community concerns and have a key focus on preventing and disrupting any anti-social behaviour in the local area.
Between February and March additional proactive patrols have resulted in 151 street checks, and engagements with more than 700 community members who have visited the MPB.
Everyone deserves to feel safe going about their day in their neighbourhood.
Police will continue efforts to enhance community safety, including extensive investigations to hold any offenders to account and seek justice for victims.
Wherever a youth has been linked to anti-social behaviour, police engage with their caregivers to ensure they are aware of where the child has been, who they are with, and what they are doing. Where required, enforcement action will also be taken.
Local officers thank the community for their assistance to date in reporting any concerns.
Police ask the community to continue reporting any suspicious behaviour or concerns to inform ongoing proactive police patrols.
