Police are investigating the arson of a business at Marsden in the early hours of this morning, 25 March.
Around 2.45am, police were called to a tobacconist convenience store on Barklya Place, following reports of a fire.
Emergency services arrived a short time later and the fire was extinguished.
A crime scene was declared at 3.10am.
Initial investigations indicate that a male attended the scene in a white vehicle and forced entry to the business, before lighting a fire.
The male then re-entered the vehicle via the passenger door and fled the scene.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or has dash-camera footage of a white vehicle in the area around the time of the fire, to come forward.
Investigations continue.
