Over the past weekend, 15 teenagers have been charged with property crime offences across the Capricornia District as part of ongoing arrests made as part of Operation Yankee Forge.

On 15 March, it will be alleged a group of teenage boys from Biloela attended a Grevillea Street address around 11.55pm and have stolen a red Mitsubishi Triton.

On 16 March, the stolen vehicle was located around 5.40am following a traffic crash on Fitzroy Development Road, Coomoo.

Four teenage boys sustained minor physical injuries and were transported to Woorabinda Hospital.

Four boys aged 11, 13, 14 and 16, were each charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle offences and appeared before Rockhampton Childrens Court on 17 March.

In a separate incident on 15 March, it will be alleged a group of teenagers entered a Farnborough Road address in Yeppoon through an unlocked front door.

Around 8.20pm, the group allegedly stole the keys to a white Mazda and fled the scene in the vehicle.

Two boys aged 16 from Mount Morgan and Berserker, a 15-year-old Gracemere girl, and 17-year-old Woorabinda boy were each charged with one count of enter dwelling and commit.

All appeared before Rockhampton Childrens Court on 16 March.

Investigations are ongoing.

Over the next six months, local police will deliver highly coordinated, visible and targeted policing activities under the statewide run Operation Yankee Forge to reduce victimisation and target offenders who cause the greatest harm to Queensland communities.
