Police have charged eight people with 45 charges following investigations into property crime offences committed at Biloela throughout February as part of targeted operations under Queensland Police Service’s Operation Yankee Forge.

The two-day property crime operation saw police execute eight search warrants on 3 to 4 March this year.

It will be alleged several people were involved in multiple properties and vehicles entered and property stolen between 23 and 28 February.

On 3 March, police executed a warrant at a residence and arrested a 14-year-old Biloela boy.

He has been charged with one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, attempted enter dwelling with intent in company, attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, and face masked, blackened or disguised with intent commit indictable offence.

The boy is due to appear before Biloela Childrens Court on 14 April.

Police executed a search warrant at a residence and arrested a 16-year-old Biloela boy.

He has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and was due to appear before Rockhampton Childrens Court on 10 March.

On 5 March, police executed a search warrant at a residence and arrested an 18-year-old Biloela man.

He has been charged with four counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent, three counts each of enter premises and commit indictable offence, enter premises with intent, and attempted enter premises with intent, two counts of trespass, and one count each of enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and breach of bail condition.

The 18-year-old man has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 31 March.

The same day, police executed a search warrant at another address at Biloela and arrested an 11-year-old Biloela boy.

He has been charged with one count each of enter premises and commit, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted enter dwelling with intent, trespass, and attempted enter premises with intent and is due to appear before Biloela Childrens Court on 14 April.
