It will be alleged on 19 February the man sexually assaulted a woman at a business during the course of his duties as a massage therapist.
Following extensive investigations, detectives conducted a search warrant at the business on 5 March.
The 39-year-old Richlands man was arrested and has since been charged with one count of rape.
He is expected to appear before Richlands Magistrates Court on 14 April.
Acacia Ridge CIB Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Simon Ball said police are urging anyone with further information or interactions of a similar nature to come forward.
“Offences of this nature are a despicable breach of trust, and police are committed to pursuing every avenue of investigation to seek justice for victim-survivors,” he said.
“I commend the victim-survivor for her courage to come forward and help police hold the alleged perpetrator to account.
“I want to reassure any victim-survivors you are not alone, and that there are support services available to you.
“We encourage anyone who has information to provide in relation to this investigation to come forward directly to us or anonymously to Crimestoppers.”
Investigations are ongoing and police are providing support to the woman.
