Gold Coast detectives have charged a man with murder following the death of a man at Maudsland last night, 9 March.
Around 6.40pm, police were called to an address at McCrae Court after reports a man had been stabbed multiple times with a knife.
The 34-year-old Maudsland man sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
Officers arrested a 54-year-old Maudsland man at the residence and a crime-scene was declared.
Following investigations, the man was charged with one count of murder domestic violence offence.
He is due to appear at Southport Magistrates Court today, 10 March.
The pair were known to each other and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
