Rockhampton Tactical Crime Squad charged two men with several weapons and drug related offences following two search warrants in the Rockhampton area last week.

Around 9.30am on 24 February, police executed a search warrant at an Oswald Street address in Allenstown.

It will be alleged police located and seized a shotgun, rifle, and ammunition from the property.

A 25-year-old Allenstown man has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of category A weapons, and one count of offence in relation to unauthorised and prohibited explosives (ammunition).

He is due to appear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 10 March.

Around 12.26pm on 25 February, police attended a Yaamba Rd licensed venue at Parkhurst in relation to a wanted person.

At 1.18pm, police executed a search warrant on a vehicle parked outside the premises.

It will be alleged Police searched the vehicle and located a handgun, before declaring the vehicle a crime scene.

A 21-year-old Frenchville man has been charged with five counts of unlawful possession of weapons (categories H, C and R), six counts of possessing dangerous drugs (methylenedioxymethamphetamine, methylamphetamine, cocaine, Psilocybin, cannabis, and buprenorphine), two counts of offence to buy or possess S8 medicines (oxycodone and targin), and one count each of authority required to possess explosives (ammunition), possess property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence, possess tainted property, possession of a knife in a public place, and possess utensils.

He has been remanded in custody and due to reappear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 27 May.
