Detectives from the Redcliffe Criminal Investigation Branch have charged 47 people on 498 offences, and seized a significant quantity of drugs, cash and firearms during a five-month operation.
Operation Xray Upshot ran between September 2025 and February 2026 to target an alleged drug trafficking syndicate across the Peninsula.
Over the course of the operation, multiple search warrants were executed and nearly 560 grams of methylamphetamine was seized, as well as 225g cocaine, $62,000 in cash and eight firearms.
Around 7.10am on 16 February, detectives executed a search warrant at a Seagrass Street property in Deception Bay, seizing 41 grams of methylamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA, drug utensils, a revolver and $2000 cash.
A 25-year-old Deception Bay woman was charged with 94 counts of supplying dangerous drugs, two counts each of possessing dangerous drugs and trafficking dangerous drugs, and one count each of possessing utensils, possessing relevant substances, possess anything used in commission of a crime, receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying, unlawful possession of weapons, authority required to possess explosives and contravening order about information necessary to access information stored electronically.
A 27-year-old Deception Bay man was also charged with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs, two counts of attempting to supply dangerous drugs within a correctional facility, and one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon, possessing property acquired for committing a drug offence, authority required to possess explosives, contravening order about information necessary to access information stored electronically and damaging evidence with intent.
They were both due to face Caboolture Magistrates Court on 17 February.
At 12.15pm on 30 January, police intercepted a silver Mazda3 Chassis sedan on Scarborough Road in Scarborough and seized 17g of cocaine during a subsequent search of the driver.
A 30-year-old Scarborough woman was charged with one count of possessing dangerous drugs, and was scheduled to face Redcliffe Magistrates Court on 25 February.
Just after 10.30am on 11 November 2025, detectives executed a search warrant at an address on Joseph Crescent in Deception Bay where they seized 280 grams of cocaine, methylamphetamine, 17 MDMA tablets and more than $20,000 in cash.
A 32-year-old Deception Bay man was charged with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs, two counts of breach of bail and one count each of supplying dangerous drugs, receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying, possessing drug utensils, possessing restricted items, possessing counterfeit money and authority required to possess explosives.
He was due to face Redcliffe Magistrates Court on 12 November 2025.
Redcliffe CIB Officer in Charge Detective Senior Sergeant Lisa Elkins said taking a significant number of alleged offenders off the street was a great result.
“It was one of the most successful operations in recent years across the Moreton region,” she said. “This is a testament to the seriousness of the alleged offences and the significant seizures.”
The operation was led by Redcliffe CIB with assistance from multiple other units.
Detective Senior Sergeant Elkins said, “This is a great example of police working together to bring dangerous offenders to account.”
Police will also be continuing their commitment to reducing victims of crime and targeting offenders who cause the most harm in our communities as part of the enhanced statewide Operation Yankee Forge over the next six months.
