Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) following an ongoing incident at Loganlea this afternoon, 1 March.
The PSPA was declared at 4.16pm after a man who police wished to speak with barricaded himself in a house on Sylvia Street.
The emergency declaration encompasses Sylvia Street, Dianne Street, Hedley Street, and Sturdee Street.
Residents in these streets are urged to remain indoors and the public are advised to avoid the area.
