Police have launched a homicide investigation following the results of a postmortem examination of a woman’s body discovered at a Bellbird Park property on 19 February.
Officers were called to a Beryl Court property around 11.30am following reports of a disturbance on the street.
A short time later police located a 42-year-old Springfield woman deceased inside a property.
A crime scene was declared, and investigations began.
A 34-year-old Bellbird Park resident was located nearby and taken to hospital.
They are presently undergoing a medical assessment and are yet to speak with detectives.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious around the Beryl Court property, or may have relevant CCTV footage, to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
