Police have charged a man and a teenage boy following a stolen vehicle incident at Ipswich on Saturday, 21 February.
Around 10pm officers observed a stolen 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan on Bognuda Street in Bundamba.
It will be alleged that the Tiguan was stolen from a Popran Chase address in South Ripley on 17 February.
The vehicle was tracked through the Ipswich area by officers, with assistance from Polair, before being observed travelling east along the Warrego Highway at Blacksoil where a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed.
The vehicle continued travelling along the highway before coming to a stop at Dinmore where its two occupants fled the vehicle and ran into nearby bushland.
Both persons were tracked by Ipswich Dog Squad officers and were taken into custody a short time later.
A 21-year-old Bundamba man has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possess dangerous drugs.
He is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today, 23 February.
A 14-year-old Brassall boy has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is due to appear in the Ipswich Childrens Court today, 23 February.
Investigations continue.
