The Forensic Crash Unit (FCU) is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Carole Park this afternoon, 21 February.
At approximately 12.10 pm, police were called to the eastbound lanes of the Logan Motorway, near the Boundary Road exit, following reports of a crash involving a motorcycle.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a black Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle collided with the side of a Kenworth T610 truck travelling in the same direction.
The impact caused the rider to be thrown from the bike and into the path of a white Hyundai Tucson.
The rider of the Kawasaki motorcycle, a 27-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Kenworth truck, a 40-year-old man, and the driver of the Hyundai, a 54-year-old man, were not injured.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage, particularly relevant vision of the motorcycle prior to the crash, to come forward.
The FCU is continuing its investigations into the circumstances of the crash.
