Police are investigating following a serious assault in Tara last night, 16 February.
Around 10.20pm, police were called to Tara Hospital following reports a man had received serious injuries following an earlier altercation with another male.
A 28-year-old Tara man was air lifted to the Princess Alexandra hospital for treatment to injuries to his upper body.
Following further investigations police attended a Machaness Road property.
A 44-year-old Tara man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Officers are appealing for anyone with relevant information to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.
