Gold Coast police have charged three teenagers after two stolen vehicles were located on the Gold Coast last night, 9 February.
Around 7.40pm, officers sighted an alleged stolen black Ford Mustang travelling in Runaway Bay. Police intercepted the vehicle after it stopped at a petrol station on Oxley Drive, where a male occupant fled on foot.
Officers conducted foot patrols of the area; however, the alleged offender was not located at that time.
Around 9.40pm, police identified a second alleged stolen vehicle, a white Jeep Grand Cherokee, travelling in Runaway Bay. Police monitored the vehicle as it travelled through the area.
A tyre deflation device was successfully deployed on Hope Island Road, with the vehicle continuing a short distance before coming to a stop on the Pacific Motorway at Coomera.
It will be alleged the three occupants fled the vehicle on foot before being taken into custody nearby without incident.
During the arrests, it will be alleged one of the teenagers was identified as the occupant of the stolen Mustang located earlier in the evening.
Investigations have established the vehicles were stolen during an alleged burglary at around 3.30am on 9 February at a Osna Place address in Pullenvale.
A 15-year-old Inala boy has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and one count each of enter dwelling and commit, driving without a licence, and attempted fraud.

A 15-year-old Paradise Point boy has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of enter dwelling and commit.
All three teens are due to appear at the Southport Children’s Court today, 10 February.
Investigations are ongoing.
