Police have charged a 14-year-old boy following an attempted armed robbery in Murgon on 26 January.
Police will allege around 4.30am the boy and two other unknown people entered a property on Lamb Street where they threatened a man and a woman with a knife demanding the couple’s car keys.
It is then alleged the man was struck with piece of wood before all three offenders left the scene heading north along Watt Street.
An 84-year-old man received injuries to his head, legs and arms and was transported to Murgon Hospital for treatment, while a 76-year-old woman was not injured.
A 14-year-old Kallangur boy has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent by break at night whilst armed, attempted armed robbery, attempted enter dwelling, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possess property suspect of being stolen and stealing.
He is due to appear in Murgon Childrens Court on 27 January.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact police.
