Investigations continue following the serious assault of a man in Maroochydore on Saturday morning, 17 January.
Just after midnight, two groups of people became involved in an altercation on Ocean Street, with a 21-year-old man punched and knocked to the ground.
He was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital and then later airlifted to Royal Brisbane Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains in intensive care after undergoing surgery.
Three men are assisting police with their enquiries
