Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash at Tingalpa, 10 January.

Around 6.10am, police were called to the intersection of Wynnum Road and Murarrie Road following reports of a crash involving a vehicle and a cyclist.

The cyclist, a 83-year-old Balmoral man, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital and passed away a short time later.

The driver of a Mitsubishi Triton, a 50-year-old Murarrie man, was not physically injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the crash, to come forward.
