Detectives from the Carseldine Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating after police were called to an altercation at Bracken Ridge last night, 6 December.
About 7.05pm, police were called to a Whyalla Close address following reports a 37-year-old man had sustained a stab wound to the chest.
The 37-year-old Darra man was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with life threatening injuries.
The 33-year-old Darra man was transported to hospital, under police guard, due to a medical condition and is assisting police.
The two men are known to each other and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
Investigations are ongoing.
