The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Moranbah early this morning, 28 November.

Around 12:45am, police and emergency services responded to reports a white Hino truck had struck a pedestrian on the Moranbah Access Road.

The pedestrian, a 36-year-old Moranbah woman, was transported to Moranbah Hospital in a critical condition and was declared deceased a short time later.

The driver, a 41-year-old man and sole occupant of the truck was not physically injured.

Investigations are ongoing.

Anyone with information or relevant footage of the area between 12:30am and 1:00am is urged to contact police.
