The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Bushland Beach (Townsville) last night, 23 November.

Initial investigations indicate that around 6.08pm, a white Mazda utility has collided with a silver BMW motorcycle and an orange CFMOTO motorcycle just after the roundabout of Mount Low Parkway and Lionel Turner Drive.

The BMW rider, a 76-year-old South Townsville man, was treated by emergency services but declared deceased at the scene.

The BMW passenger, a 70-year-old South Townsville woman, and the CFMOTO rider, a 22-year-old Aitkenvale man, were transported to Townville University Hospital with serious injuries.

The utility driver, a 28-year-old Mount Low man, was not injured and is assisting police with their inquiries.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has relevant dashcam footage to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit investigation is continuing.
