The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a serious traffic crash involving a car and a pedestrian in Waterford West last night, 20 November.
Around 8.19pm, police were called to Chambers Flat Road at the intersection with Bourke Street to reports a white Holden Colorado dual cab had struck a pedestrian.
The driver of the vehicle, a 25-year-old Redland Bay man, left the scene prior to police arrival but later returned to the scene and is now assisting police with inquiries.
The pedestrian, a 29-year-old Loganlea man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital.
Officers are appealing to anyone with information or relevant footage to contact police.
