Detectives from the Warwick Criminal Investigation Branch have charged two men following an investigation into a break and enter offence in East Greenmount on Friday, 31 October.

It will be alleged sometime between 8.30pm on 31 October and 2.15am on 1 November, the men broke into a shed on a Moller Street property stealing a 2012 Toyota Landcruiser before leaving the scene.

Around 3am the stolen Toyota Landcruiser was located on Gillam Street in Clifton, after being involved in a traffic crash with a brown 2021 Toyota Landcruiser.

Police will further allege the men stole three firearms from the Moller Street address on 31 October, which were later recovered from a West Street address in Warwick on 4 November.

A 30-year-old Warwick man has been charged with one count each of enter premises and commit, unlawful use of motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

He has been remanded in custody to reappear in the in the Warwick Magistrates Court on 19 November.

A 24-year-old Warwick man has been charged with enter premises and commit and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He has been bailed to appear in the Warwick Magistrates Court on 24 November.

Investigations are ongoing.
