The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Cooloola Cove this morning, 4 November.

Police were called to reports that an Isuzu truck and a Hyundai Tucson collided on Bayside Road around 7:35 am.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 70-year-old man from Curra, was airlifted to hospital with serious leg injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 54-year-old man from Cooloola Cove, died at the scene.

Witnesses, or anyone with relevant footage of the incident, are urged to contact police.
