A Queensland Police Service (QPS) media release published on Monday, 22 September, contained incorrect information.
Further investigations have determined the deceased was a pillion passenger on the ebike.
UPDATED RELEASE:
A teenager has died following a traffic crash in Tallebudgera on, Monday, 22 September.
Around 4pm, a Mitsubishi Outlander was headed east on Tallebudgera Creek Road when it collided with an e-bike at the intersection with Fenton Drive.
A pillion passenger on the ebike, a 17-year-old Tallebudgera boy, died at the scene.
The rider, a 17-year-old Tallai boy, was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 65-year-old Robina man, was taken to Robina Hospital with minor injuries.
Anyone with further information or with relevant footage is urged to contact police.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are ongoing.
