Police are appealing for information from the public as their investigations continue into a serious single vehicle traffic crash at Paget in Mackay on 4 September.

Around 10.35pm police and emergency services were called after a grey Ford Falcon sedan veered off Broadsound Road at the intersection of Farrellys Road and rolled onto its roof.

The 18-year-old male driver was able to remove himself from the vehicle and was transported to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.

His 18-year-old female passenger was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency services. She was also transported to Mackay Base Hospital with serious life-threatening injuries to her lower body, and later transferred to Royal Brisbane Womens Hospital for further treatment.

Mackay Forensic Crash Unit are seeking to speak with anyone who passed the incident along Broadsound Road between 10pm and 11pm.

Police are also appealing to anyone who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage in the area that could assist with investigations to come forward.
