Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) due to an ongoing policing incident in Westcourt today, 4 September.
Officers were called to Brophy Street around 12.30pm to reports of an armed man making threats.
There has been no report of injuries or shots fired at this time.
An exclusion zone has been established while police respond, encompassing Lennon Street, Tills Street, Dylan Street and Gibbons Street.
Residents are urged to avoid the area.
Investigations are ongoing.
