Police are investigating a serious traffic crash in Broadbeach early this morning, 24 August.

About 3.25am, police and emergency services were called to the intersection of the Gold Coast Highway and Victoria Avenue to reports a silver Mitsubishi Triton, travelling southbound, has struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 30-year-old Burleigh Waters man was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Triton, a 17-year-old Nerang man, is assisting police with their investigations.
