The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a three-vehicle traffic crash in South Maclean last night, 9 August.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 8pm, a white Ford Falcon was travelling south along Teviot Road when it entered an intersection and collided with a grey Hyundai i30, which was turning right onto Cusack Lane, and a silver Mazda 2, which was travelling north along Teviot Road.

The driver of the Hyundai i30, a woman in her 20s, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The passenger of the Hyundai i30, five occupants of the Ford Falcon, and two occupants of the Mazda 2 all sustained minor injuries.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash, including whether speed was a factor, are continuing.

Witnesses, particularly anyone with relevant vision in the lead up to the crash, are urged to contact police.
