Police are appealing for information following a serious traffic crash in Walligan on August 3.

Just after 4pm, a black Suzuki GSX650F travelling south on Maryborough Hervey Bay Road crashed into a power pole near the roundabout with Booral Road.

The rider, a 23-year-old Kawungan man, was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigations are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam vision to come forward.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations remain ongoing.
