Police are investigating following a burglary with violence at Varsity Lakes this morning, 29 July 2025.
Initial information indicates around 1.15am, three males attended Northshore Avenue in a Toyota Hilux utility and entered a property armed with machetes and a baseball bat.
The trio assaulted one of the occupants – a 34-year-old man – with the baseball bat and damaged property before being disturbed by a neighbour and leaving in the vehicle.
The man sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his face, torso and legs and was transported to hospital by paramedics.
A crime scene was declared at the scene and Detectives urge anyone with information to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.
