Police have charged a 42-year-old man following the death of a young child in Chatsworth on July 12.
Emergency services were called to a park off Gympie Curra Road around 10.40am following reports a 7-month-old baby boy was located unresponsive.
The child was transported to hospital for treatment, however was declared deceased that night.
Following investigations a 42-year-old man, who is known to the child, was arrested in Bundamba today.
The man has been charged with manslaughter (domestic violence).
He is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow, July 16.
