Detectives are appealing for information following an assault at licensed premises on Caxton Street last night, July 9.

Between 8.40pm and 8.45pm, a 31-year-old Morningside man was involved in an altercation with another man.

The unknown man struck him in the head, before leaving the venue.

The 31-year-old man was transported to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital for treatment.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or with relevant information, to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
