Police have charged two teenagers following an alleged hit and run traffic crash involving a stolen vehicle in Helensvale last night, July 5.
It will be alleged around 8pm, a stolen white Mercedes GLC crashed into a tow truck at a service station on Siganto Drive and left the scene without stopping.
Police allegedly located the stolen Mercedes around 8.40pm, parked on Ken Crescent with two teenagers inside.
Two 17-year-old boys were taken into custody a short time later.
The Mercedes was allegedly stolen from a Columbus Drive residence in Hollywell earlier that morning.
A 17-year-old boy has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, enter dwelling and commit, common assault, assault occasioning bodily harm and receiving tainted property.

Both boys were refused police bail and are due to appear before Southport Childrens Court on July 7.
