A 24-year-old man has been charged after a fatal UTV buggy crash at Toolakea Beach last year.
The man has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death or grievous bodily harm, vehicles on roads must be registered, drive uninsured and drive motor vehicle whilst over the middle alcohol limit.
He has been issued a notice to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on July 11.
A 54-year-old man has previously been charged with permit person to drive uninsured vehicle and vehicle used on road must be registered.
Police would like to remind the public that in Queensland, a UTV, quad bike and motorbike are all motor vehicles and a required to be registered if used on a road.
In Queensland, a beach is a road.
As a result, all road rules apply when a motor vehicle is driven on the beach, and you should never drink and drive.
