The Townsville Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a traffic incident this morning, June 13.

Initial information indicates around 4.20am, a 34-year-old man was riding an e-scooter when he lost control and crashed.

He was located unresponsive on Dalrymple Road before being transported to Townsville University Hospital with serious head injuries.

Police are urging anyone with information or relevant vision to come forward.
