Police have charged three teenage boys with multiple property and vehicle offences across the South Burnett over a four-day period.
At approximately 11pm on May 29, a group of teenage males attempted to break into a property on Douglas Street in Murgon before moving onto a neighbouring property where they gained entry by using a garden ornament to smash though the front door.
The group threatened a 76-year-old man inside the property, before leaving the scene.
The man was not physically injured.
At approximately 10.30pm on May 31, the group allegedly entered a property on Taylor Street in Murgon before they were disturbed by an alarm.
A short time later it is alleged the group broke into a property on Thorn Street in Murgon by climbing through an open window, before entering a bedroom and assaulting a 25-year-old man.
The offenders stole items of property and broke into a vehicle inside the homes garage before leaving the scene.
The 25-year-old man was treated for injuries to his face and arms.
Police also allege at approximately 11.30pm the same night, the group entered the rear yard of a Cobb Street property in Murgon before breaking into a nearby property on Leitch Street through a rear garage door.
Once inside the group allegedly gained access to the property’s kitchen where they stole car keys and a 2015 grey Mazda 2 parked in the garage.
At approximately 5.50am on June 1, a group of offenders arrived at a Boat Mountain Road address in Murgon where they approached a man on his balcony.
One of the offenders then forcible removed a set of keys from the victim’s hands before stealing a grey Kia Cerato.
An 88-year-old man was not physically injured.
The Kia Cerato was located shortly before 8am on a dirt track near Cemetery Road at Cherbourg where it had been extensively damaged by fire.
At approximately 6.30am a 26-year-old man had entered a driveway into a residential aged care facility on Fisher Street in Cherbourg when he noticed a vehicle pull up behind.
It is alleged a male teenager exited the vehicle and approached the man threatening him with a knife to get out of the vehicle before grabbing the man grabbed by the neck and threatening him again.
After the man exited the vehicle, the teenager got into the vehicle and drove off followed by the second vehicle also at the scene.
Police later located the vehicle a silver 2007 Toyota Camry at an Old Wondai Road address after it had been extensively damaged by fire.
The man was not physically injured.
A 15-year-old teenage male has been charged with nine offences including two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and trespass, unlicensed driving, attempted enter dwelling, armed robbery in company, armed robbery in company used personal violence and enter premises and commit indictable offence.
He is due to appear in the Maroochydore Childrens Court.
A 13-year-old teenage male has been charged with nine offences including four counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of arson and stealing and one count of armed robbery.
He has appeared in Brisbane Childrens Court.
A second 13-year-old teenage male has been charged with five charges including two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter premises to commit, arson of motor vehicle and stealing.
He is due to front Murgon Childrens Court .
