Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Slacks Creek this morning.

Preliminary investigations indicate that around 4.55am, a man wearing a hooded jacket attended the night-window of the Kingston Road service station and indicated he had a firearm before demanding money from the two store-attendants.

The 27-year-old female employee handed the man cash from the till through the window, before he fled on foot.

The man did not gain entry to the store and no one was injured during the incident.

Police are appealing to anyone with information about this incident – or anyone who may have dash-camera footage in the vicinity of Kingston Road between 4.30am and 5.30am today (Monday June 2) to come forward.

Investigations continue.
