Whitsunday detectives have charged a man following a series of alleged break and enters across the Whitsunday area.
It will be alleged around 11.50pm on April 6, a man entered a Shute Harbour Road hotel at Airlie Beach damaging a safe and stealing property from inside a parked vehicle on the premises.
Around 2pm on April 7, a man allegedly entered a Galbraith Park Drive business at Cannonvale and accessed a safe, stealing a quantity of cash.
A 52-year-old South Brisbane man has been charged with four counts of enter premises and commit, and one count of wilful damage.
He appeared in Townsville Magistrates Court on April 11 and has been remanded in custody to reappear on May 27.
Police are appealing to other businesses that may have been targeted in the area, or anyone with any information to contact Police. Investigations are ongoing.
