The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a two-vehicle traffic crash in Cambooya today, April 15.

About 12.05pm, a Holden Astra and a Volkswagan Amarok travelling in opposite directions on the New England Highway collided between Drayton Connection Road and Erbacher Road.

The driver and sole occupant of the Holden, a 26-year-old Warwick man, died at the scene.

The driver of the Volkswagan, a 73-year-old Nobby man, and a passenger, a 70-year-old Nobby woman, were transported to Toowoomba Hospital for assessment.  

The Holden Astra was stolen from Pittsworth on Saturday, April 12.

Investigations are ongoing.
