A 20-year-old Coomera man has been charged following an alleged armed robbery in Coomera yesterday, April 5.
It will be alleged, about 10.10pm, the Coomera man approached a black MG MZ that was parked outside a business on Main Street.
It will be further alleged the man threatened the driver, a 39-year-old Oxenford woman, with a firearm and demanded her vehicle.
The woman fled on foot and was not physically injured.
Police arrested the 20-year-old man at the scene.
The Coomera man was charged with one count each of robbery armed, attempted unlawful use if a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of weapons category D/H/R weapon and possess utensils or pipes.
He is expected to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday, April 4.
