A search and rescue operation resumed at 6am this morning to locate a man reported missing in St George yesterday afternoon, January 12.
Emergency services were called to Beardmore Dam Reserve just after 2pm following reports a man had dived into the dam and failed to resurface.
A search was immediately launched, involving police, SES and Queensland Fire Department swift water rescue crews.
Police divers have also been deployed to assist.
Police kindly ask locals to avoid attempting to search the area due to the potentially dangerous terrain, and to trust that emergency services are doing everything they can to locate the missing man.
