Police are investigating the sudden death of a 37-year-old man in Rockhampton.

Initial investigations indicate that around 8am on January 2, emergency services were called to a Sharples Road, Berserker address after the man was located with life-threatening-injuries.

He was transported to Rockhampton Hospital, where he subsequently passed away from his injuries on January 5.

Investigations into the circumstances and cause of death are underway.

There is no further information available at this time.
