A man has passed away following an alleged assault on Sunday night, January 5.

Investigations indicate the man was assaulted near Rudyard Street, Inala, around 6.30pm.

Several hours later, police were called to Logan Hospital around 12.30am on Monday, January 6, after a man presented with significant head injuries.

The man, a 52-year-old, was transported to a specialist care facility, however passed away last night.

Detectives have since recovered the RAV4 and continue to appeal for anyone with dashcam footage, particularly along Government Road at Richlands between Archerfield Road and Forest Lake Boulevard, between 6.15pm and 6.45pm, Sunday, January 5.
