A 16-year-old boy has died following a serious traffic crash that occurred in Kearneys Spring earlier this week, December 16.

Investigations indicate around 11:30pm, a silver Mazda was travelling west on Spring Street when it left the road and crashed with a power pole at the intersection with Muller St.

A 22-year-old South Toowoomba woman was declared deceased at the scene while another three passengers, a 17-year-old girl, 20-year-old woman and 20-year-old man, were transported to the Toowoomba Base Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle a 16-year-old Kearneys Spring boy, was initially taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition but has since passed away from his injuries.

Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing to appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or may have relevant dashcam or CCTV vision, to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
